なパレードはない のですが、イースターサンデーに因んだウサギにタマゴとヒナの仮装やフラワー帽子で着飾った女性達やトラディショナルな紳士姿と個人々でポーズをしては皆 さんを楽しませていました。
5番街にあるセイントパトリック教会には多勢の信者さんで溢れていました。ロックフェラーセンターでは、まだ スケートリンクがオープンしてて20℃を越す暖かな青空の下で気持ち良さそうに滑っていました。
歩きながら帰る道がら春らしさのマンハッ タンを撮りました。

Even though I've heard about it all my life (mainly because of the well-known song), I've never actually seen the famous Easter Parade on Fifth Avenue. We Brooklynites had a different tradition; heading to Coney Island on Easter Sunday - an early welcome to summer partying.OK, but this was fun too; we got a late start (we're night folk by nature), took a bunch of photos, and headed home. The parade, or what we saw of it, reminded me of photos of Akihabara, but this was young and old, guys and gals and everything in between, seeing and being seen. We all have the right to do goofy things in public whenever the urge hits, but I'm more the Halloween type - I like my goofiness to have more of a wicked edge.
Aki was curious about the price of that HUMONGOUS chocolate egg in the bakery window (see slide show below) - but I really didn't want to know!
