The Queens County Farm Museum dates back to 1697, the largest remaining tract of undisturbed farmland, the only working historical farm in the City and the longest continuously-farmed site in New York State.  47-acres - historic farm buildings, a greenhouse complex, livestock, farm vehicles and implements, planting fields, an orchard and herb garden.

Flushing Meadows Corona Park Complex
This 1,255-acre park has historical, recreational and environmental significance. The former dumping ground labelled a "valley of ashes" by F. Scott Fitzgerald in "The Great Gatsby" has become Queens' largest park, and one of New York City's flagship parks.

Forest Park

Forest Park, 538 acres of trees and fields, a mix of natural treasures and manmade prizes, is a jewel of a park in Queens, New York.
An 18-hole golf course, running track, handball courts, baseball field, a historic (1903) children's wooden carousel, two miles of tree-lined forest park drive - perfect for strolling, biking, and skating,
three beautiful nature trails, off-road biking, horseback riding: seven miles of bridle paths.

Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge
Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, part of Gateway National Recreation Area, is the only wildlife refuge in the national park system. The refuge's 9,155 acres contain diverse habitats including salt marsh, upland field and woods, several fresh and brackish water ponds and an open expanse of bay available for exploration.  Read More…
Before hiking you need to check in at the Visitors Center and receive a free hiking permit.
There are no entrance or parking fees. The Center has a parking lot,  bookstore,  and bathroom.
Getting there…
• By Subway: Take the A train to Broad Channel station. Walk west to Crossbay Boulevard then turn right (north) and walk about half a mile to the Visitors Center.
By Car: Take the Belt Parkway to exit 17, and go south on Cross Bay Boulevard. Follow Cross Bay Boulevard over North Channel Bridge and continue 1 1/2 miles to the Visitors Center on the right.
