Prospect Park
Brooklyn, New York - Interactive Park Map
A 585-acre urban oasis located in the heart of Brooklyn, New York City’s most populous borough. Designed by Frederick Olmsted, the landscape architect who designed Central Park. Some say that Prospect Park is an even greater masterpiece. Don't just take our word for it, come see for yourself!

A little smaller than the Bronx Botanical Garden, but in this ex-Brooklynite's humble opinion, even more beautiful, the Garden will be celebrating its 100th Birthday this year. The crown jewel is the The Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden, a must-see; Japanese visitors have said that it rivals any garden in Japan. And there are 23 more gardens to see (and smell)! Be sure to visit them all.  For more info, see interactive map. Plant Sales, art exhibits, classes in painting and drawing, lectures, cooking, guided tours, gardening workshops and much more. To see what's available now, please use our calendar link below.
